The Hawks Nest is a student run newspaper funded by the generous donations and sponsors of our community. We count on donations to keep us running all year long with a tangible monthly newspaper during the academic year from September to June. Our product provides the students of CVU local news and interest from the perspective and penmanship of their peers.

The generosity of our donors and sponsors is instrumental to the positive social impact we are making in our community as independent journalist. We are empowering our generation, and those to follow, with the ability to investigate, capture, articulate and present unbiased stories for all to read. We are giving CVU students a platform to be heard, to listen, to be inclusive, to be informed, and to afford diversity a place to be seen and grow.
